Great choice for christmas. Superb base for traveling to Asheville and exploring local places. The hotel was located right by Asheville, the mountains.
Menu was missed, we were a little disappointed.
-
Appreciated the fantastic atmosphere and the breakfast was incredible. Attentive, helpful staff, especially the valet.
-
I liked the hotel, its comfy room and affable staff. Comfortable beds, a safe, a seating area and a writing desk in the room. Enjoyed landscape view.
-
A good choice of restaurants to eat close by, like Sunset Terrace that was only 5 minutes' walk away. Private parking and great breakfast. It was 2 km from beaver lake bird sanctuary. Recommend this place to everyone.
None!

Great view, historical ambience, beautiful reception hall, nice service,
Bad breakfast, access to the spa only possible by booking extremely expensive treatments. Pool and sports facilities very unattractive.
-
Location. Friendliness of staff. Good food. Accommodation itself
Crowds. Small double beds however in deluxe room. Water in room to pay. No free choice of restaurants due to crowds

There is a lot to do at the grove park inn. You can stay there the entire evening without having to leave.
The room was ridiculously over priced for what it was. It was comparable in size and furniture/ decorations to any Hampton inn or similar mid level hotel. For the price one would also expect a free breakfast, but none was offered. At check in there was a line of at least five guests waiting to check in, yet there was only one employee available to check in guests. For the money I spent to stay one night there,I was a bit disappointed.

Historic hotel with a lot of history. Nice mountain view.
For $400 / night, I just do not see the value. It is not like the rooms or hotel are overly posh or the service is outstanding. It is a nice hotel with average service level but does not justify a $400/night charge. But the hotel is always busy.

Beautiful location.
The room was small, noisy, dated, heat/cooling was not working properly. Heat could not turn on. Cooling was like a refrigerator. Room was next to an old elevator at the top of the stairs. Very loud listening to luggage hit the floor up and down the stairs.

Beautiful hotel, with amazing views. Dinner staff & service was excellent.
The price for the basic room accomodations (the ambience of the room) was a little too high. Everything was a la carte--spa/pool fees, massages were too expensive.

The common areas are relaxing, elegant, and beautiful. The staff are courteous and helpful.
At night, the live music in the lobby was loud, harsh, and garish, in contrast to the otherwise elegant surroundings. I will not stay there again unless they make a change. A nice piano bar would be so much more in keeping with the elegance than a local rock/country/blue grass band.

Nice view
Way too expensive for what you get. After paying nearly $300/night, we still have to pay to use the spa? No free pool for us commoners. When I checked out, imagine my surprise when I found an extra $22/night hotel "comfort" fee attached to my bill. They wouldn't remove it. What a rip-off. It was nice, but we will never stay here again.

The beautiful mountain scenery was a joy. The help there was fantastic, and eveyone was so friendly and assisted us with everything we needed.
Our room was secluded on the 2nd floor, the heat/AC was uneven, we had no view outside except the back side of the building & a loading place. The bath room was a huge step up from the floor of the room, with no night light get up as needed during the night. My wife had a broken leg in January, so she was not able to walk up & down long staircases, and the small elevator was not open for guests, except by calling for a staff member to operate it. We're not really complaining, but just stating the situiation as we saw it.

Impressive architecture, historic interior design amd quality materials used, upscale rustic community areas interior and exterior, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Gorgeous setting and views . Friemdly service. Our room was very small but spotlessly clean.
Price for the type of room we got and no parking or breakfast included. Next time, we will book cheaper accommodation elsewhere and come to the Grove Park Inn for dinner on the patio, drinks in the lobby and/ or for spa treatments.

Nice facility, amazing view
Omni's pricing is egregious. You are required to pay a relatively high price for a premium hotel, however a "resort fee" is tacked on as well as the usual extensive taxes. By the time this is done, your rate is increased an additional 35%. When we arrived, we discovered a $15 parking fee was required. Further, the resort fee only entitles you to using a pool facility that is offsite and requires a ride to/from the main lodge. The nicer pool is considered a part of the spa, which Omni requires you to pay an additional $75 for a day pass! For a room that cost $300/night to begin with, you should plan on being hit up for these additional expenses if you book a room. Further the dining facilities are nice but average in food quality and service. Lastly, the rooms are old as anticipated however the AC generated significant humidity creating damp sheets to sleep in and the mattress was soft/old with little to no support leading my wife and I to roll into the middle of the bed all night long. Do yourself a favor, visit the site to enjoy the views, have a drink at sunset and then stay elsewhere.
